Concrete in the driveway apron or public sidewalk can only be installed April 15 through November 15. Verified on the city’s live driveway permit page. Private patio slabs are not given that date on that page — still call if you are pouring late in the year.
New or expanded driveways need a permit and have to meet zoning. Show the change, dimensioned, on a copy of the legal plat of survey. Decorative aprons need a right-of-way encroachment agreement.
Same live patio rule as the yard page: permit if total paved area will exceed 500 square feet, or if there is a permanent fire pit / grill, more than 30 inches of height, or electric, plumbing, or gas. Sport courts always. Source: deck, patio, and shed.
